Close your eyes. Now open them.

Sometimes when I am imagining I like to look at the world from the perspective of a tribal cave man. The world was full of so many mysteries long ago. Before everything was dissected into bite sized pieces by science and maths. Imagine what it would have been like back then, to look at a rainbow and have nobody to tell you exactly how it was created. What would you think? What reason would you create for it? What myth dose it connect to? What fibre is it made of? When I think like this the world looks so much more beautiful. Sometimes I just end up inventing strange religions, or creating myths, or uncovering deep truths.

This is one of my favourite idea’s which I have loved for a long time. I look up at the night sky and I don’t see lots of flaming balls of gas. I see a blanket of darkness that is thrown across the world, and the stars are tiny holes in that blanket, and we can see a bit of heaven shining behind it, or some sort of spirit world. Maybe spirits wander in and out of those portholes in the sky, maybe each star leads to another world and some of the spirits eventually find earth and cause mischief. The moon is the biggest porthole of course. And look! You can see the mountains and valleys of that alien dimension so clearly! If we learnt the ancient way we could cast our spirits out of our bodies and wander through space, with the crowds of millions of others who have also learnt the secret. We would give each other knowing looks that say ‘we are the same’. And we can peak through and look at all the different worlds.stars.jpg

And what are the clouds, I hear you ask? Why they are flocks of dreams or angels or the spirits of dead pets. Billions and billions of them. Is it really that hard to believe? They migrate with the wind, perhaps to a forgotten paradise where there is no “this” and “that” everything just IS.
