Good things come in 3’s

There are three books that I want more than anything else in the world right now:

1. Living Out Loud by Keri Smith. Who is a Gurilla artist and an absolute genius.

2. 52 Projects: Random Acts of Everyday Creativity by Jeffrey Yamaguchi. Who I recently discovered.

3. No One Belongs Here More Than You by Miranda July. Who I have a major crush on.

miranda julyI love love love all of these writers, they are so creative and fresh, they all challenge boundarys. They are about leaveing love notes in strangers mail boxes and knitting sweaters for trees and performing random acts of kindness and creating art and beauty and looking at the world through they eyes of a child and slowing down and soaking it in and leaving the world better than how you found it.

Another interesting thing about all these writers is that I discovered them all online! I found them through their blogs and then fell in love with them and wanted to read more and discovered they had books and then read the previews on Amazon and then though “hrm, I’m going to have to wait for Christmas for these things”.

If you melted these people down and mixed them together you would have an idea of what i want to turn into in the next 5 years. Actually, add a dash of the contestants from ’so you think you can dance’ and then you have a pretty accurate idea.

- Since I’m in the mood for plugging other peoples blogs, I should let you know that my friend Bekky has just created a really great one here. She’s cute, blond, and very angry about a lot of things that are wrong with the world.

Haha, I love the plug you gave BEKKY (notice it’s spelt with two k’s?). “She’s cute, blond, and very angry about a lot of things that are wrong with the world”.

Share these blogs with me and maybe I will love them too?
