I am growing increasingly concerned about my poo.

I will always remember the words of my dear dear Middle School Home Economics teacher who told us sternly that nowadays, people simply do not poo as often as we should, and our insides are getting clogged up and that is why people get sick so often. Our systems are not being cleared frequently enough. This haunts me.

How often should one poo? A very scary crazy little man in my head wants to put a chart in the bathroom, and I will record how often I relieve myself and then I can make line graphs with the data. I could use this in my presentation where I tour around raising awareness in town halls etc. I want to weigh the food I eat, and then weigh my poo and see how much has been converted into energy and how much has just passed through the system. I want… photographic documentation. I want to go to a group for people who are concerned about these matters and we can discuss it openly in a supportive environment.

Poo is such a naughty thing to say. It is forbidden. So much so that when you read books, the characters NEVER poo. nor in television shows or movies. Maybe it is this social conditioning that has caused us to poo less and less. Maybe one day we will stop pooing all together. what will happen to us then? We will all explode.
