It’s Febuary in April
Justin is coming up to the sunshine coast!
This Tuesday afternoon!
(AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!)
Justin is my Febuary freind. We origionally met in 2006. We were both regional winners of Heywire, a radio writing competition and the prize was a week long youth forum in Camberra (it was the first week of Febuary). We’ve kept in contact through a million emails ever since.
In 2007 we stayed at a youth hostel on the Gold Coast for a week, which also happened to be the first week of Febuary!
This year I went to Israel in January, and since Justin was in that part of the world, he decided to pop over for a visit. We backpacked around the holy land for a good week and a half. Agien, we synchronised with the first week of Febuary.
It will be strange to see Justin in April. Dose he act differently in April? It will also be VERY strange seeing Justin on my home turf. Introducing him to my family… This visit is totally breaking with Tradition. But while tradition can give us a sense of security and life satisfaction (and studies say it dose) it can also wrap its fingers around you and choke new adventures to death. Exibet A: Catholicism.
I think Tradition is a great thing to have, but we have to remember that breaking it and keeping BOTH bring the same amount of joy.
Justin is possibly THE coolest person I know. Our Febwarian adventures are the best times of year for me.
The reason I really love this boy is because we ‘click’.
I have this theory that everyone and everything in creation is vibrating at a different frequency. Some people say: “that work of art really resonates with me”. Thats because that art is vibrating on your frequency. Some people vibrate on the same frequency as heavy metal music. I do not. There are some people you just cannot find anything to talk about, its because you vibrate on different frequencys. I think your frequency evolves as you evolve. For example, i used to only eat Hawian pizza, but now I eat most types. I have a broader pizza frequency.
Anyway, the point is that Justin vibrates on my frequency. We get straight into verbalising our inner most thoughts. We get right to work discussing the heaviest topics there are. But at the same time we both follow different religions and work out of different world views. I think this makes our conversations infinatly better. I find I agree AND disagree with him on almost every topic. It is brilliant.
Its great to find things that are on your frequency.
Surround yourself with people and things that resonate with you, (but never stop trying new things).
I feel like this post has been a rant.
I feel guilty that it dosent have structure or an intro body and conclusion.
but Meh.
Meh meh Meh.

“Some people vibrate on the same frequency as heavy metal music. I do not” Bahahaha!! This is hilarious.
I like this post. It’s a very good question- and you could find that he is actually different in April.
Will I get to meet him? I think I will be down at the shed after work on Tuesday… if that is an option.
